Isolating Pakistan in global forum is better decision than any military action

India's decision to boycott SAARC summit which will be held in Islamabad is really a diplomatic move to isolate Pakistan. After Uri attack, more than half of the people in the country wanted military action against Pakistan. Previous governments had to pay a heavy price for the softening of Pakistan. There are lot of criticism at home against BJP government not to handle Kashmir issue properly.

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Bhutan are India's friendly nation. They followed similar route to boycott SAARC summit resulted cancellation of SAARC event was to be chaired by Nepal. In a nation of 7 countries, if 4 countries desire inability to join, the event obviously can't organize. India's decision to diplomatically isolate Pakistan a better and acceptable move rather than any military action.

World politics is being gradually complex. China of course in future oppose India's any move to impose any sanction against Pakistan and it is clear. Turkey may also do the same. While India's new ally United State may pressurize Pakistan to route out terrorist activities but how long? It may be maximum one year, but after that situation will be almost same which is today.

There is global concern against Chinese aggression on the issue of South China Sea. Russia is leaning slowly towards Pakistan from India and it is clear after the Russia-Pakistan joint military exercise in Pakistani soil. Following joint Russia-Pakistan military exercise, India-US military exercise in the Indian soil is of course a befitting reply to Pakistan and to the world.

In case of any war, both India and Pakistan will go to stone age and China will rise. So Modi's decision to avoid war but to isolate Pakistan in world forum is of course a very good move. But how long India will restrain? The people of India will not always calculate the consequences of war and the government has to pay a huge price in next election. There is no real democracy in Pakistan and the Pakistani government can't take any unilateral decision without consulting it's Army. So the question is will the Pakistani military facilitate to stop proxy war against India?
