Tolerance and My Life
It seems I have crossed more than halfway of the journey of
my life. There were many targets which still I could not accomplish. There were
many planning and decision of life which later found worst.
When I see myself in front of a mirror, there are many white
beard which turned along with growing age. We gain experience along with time,
but at the time of taking decision we never know it would turn wrong. We are
not always able to properly calculate profit and loss, best and worst things of
life. When I think about unfinished work of life to finish with strong
determination, I find lack of adequate resource and proper planning. Don’t know
how much I will be able to accomplish and how much will be left.
Living with extreme fear from mosquito at home round the
clock. Yesterday, one person of my neighbours who came from Dubai to celebrate
Bakhrid with his family died on high fever as a result of mosquito bite. There’s
no empty bed in any nearest hospital or nursing home and the situation is
worst. Serious virus have been spread in the air and occupied half of the
country.
Today, I came across my old and best friend with whom I
worked 18 years back in an MNC. He is Brahmin and I am a Muslim but we shared
together a rented room at the start of our career. We cooked food together,
washed dish and never imagine we had any religious difference.
Politicians and media try to differentiate us in the name of
religion, intolerance but believe me I have never seen any intolerance in my
entire life. In my school when I appeared in the matriculation examination, I
was the only one in my class out of total 40 students who had different
religion. When I went to pursue higher secondary, I was the one in the entire
classroom with different belief. The topic was discussed among the teachers and
it was revealed when one day suddenly my Mathematics teacher asked me to
confirm my religious belief and assured me to help in case of any wrongdoing against
me in future but that type of situation never happened.
During my college life, all my friends were with different
belief. Frequently I used to attend in all their religious programme and
function. I never felt anything wrong against me for my religious belief. Even today,
I feel pain when any culprit politician try to divide us for our religious
belief and hurt the sentiment of any religion. I am neither a supporter of
Hindu-Muslim or secularism but humanity. I believe humanity is the best
religion in the world.
On the way, if someone get injured due to any reason, people
never asked his religion before extending him any help. When we donate blood,
most valuable things of our body, we never ask to push the blood to the person
who is same religious belief. I hadn’t made any friendship with the people who
are much conservative to their religion.
I was in print media when pursuing Master degree of Mass Communication
from Guru Jambeshwar University. Electronic media slowly capturing Indian
market. Kargil war started and I was assigned to cover Kargil war which was a
challenging task as a journalist. I left journalism and entered typesetting
industry. Still many people have no idea about typesetting and Knowledge
Process Outsourcing (KPO) industries.
Today, sometimes enjoy some good moments after watching NDA
government’s most successful minister of foreign affair Sushma Swaraj’s awesome
speech full of Hindi rhetoric in reply to the comment of Pakistani Prime
Minister Nawaj Sarif at the UN general assembly. How Indian Prime Minister
challenge his Pakistani counterpart on eradication of poverty and malnutrition
and who win first in both the region.
